The Russian Arts Foundation (RAF) is a US 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting international understanding. Its programs bridge borders and bring people together via the universal language of music.
Since its founding in 1992, the RAF has provided management, fundraising, marketing and financial assistance to Russian performing arts groups. The foundation has actively worked with the Russian National Orchestra, founded in 1990 by pianist, conductor and composer Mikhail Pletnev as Russia’s first orchestra since 1917 to be independent of the government. Embodying the values of innovation and global perspective reflected in the foundation’s mission, the RNO is the principal partner in many initiatives.
The Russian Arts Foundation identifies, designs and funds its own programs. For details, visit the Programs page.
